Robin for a boy, nickname Rob

WDYT?

I think it's more feminine than anything, and don't like it for a boy.

I've only ever known female Robins so it's more a girl name to me.

I really like Robin on a boy - Robin Hood, anyone? Though I'd use Bob as a nn and not Rob... for one my future BIL goes by Rob, and for two I really love the Bob in my userpic. <3

I don't see it as feminine at all, but you could go for Robert with the nn Robin, which would give the kid a chance to drop it if he felt it was 'too girly'.

Robin spelled that way is masculine to me: Robin Hood, Batman and Robin, Robin Williams.

The feminine form is Robyn to me.

I love Robin on a boy, but would rather see it as a nn for Robert.

loooooooove it. i really like robin on a boy. i don't think it's feminine at all. i think of four robins when i hear the name -- three male and one female. the most obvious being robin hood.

Lawl, I admit that this might be part of the reason why I like it. xD

And OP, I like it on a boy more than I do on a girl. =)

I really like it, much better than for a girl. Seeing as it was originally a boy's name, don't feel any shame in actually using it on a boy!

I much prefer Robin to Robert. I really like it on boys. Not so much on girls.

I don't like Robin on anybody. To me, it is truly the one name that is too feminine for boys, and too masculine for girls. It weirds me out.

I like it either way, which is odd for me.

It's one of those truly unisex names to me. Personally I prefer it on girls. And I like it a lot!

I don't like the name Robin and I especially don't like it on a boy.
