I noticed one of the girls on The Real World is named Ayiiia.

Also, I was talking to my s/o's mom and apparently his dad wanted to name him Xanti Juaquim Miguel. Fortunately his mother refused to birth anything by that name. So his name is John Michael. His dad wanted to name his brother Moon but he got named Timothy Earl. I think it's funny because from Xanti to John is quite a jump.

How would you pronounce Ayiiia? "Ay-eeeeeea"? I hate double letters. I meant to post this, but Candace Parker, the basketball player, named her daughter Lailaa. Why the extra 'a'?

Wow at how different their tastes are and what little compromise there seemed to be. Not that I blame her because those names are awful, but the names they ended up with are so overly normal that it makes me laugh.

In Finnish, extra letters are common practice, but I'm guessing that basket player is not Finnish at all...and Lailaa doesn't exactly sound like a Finnish name either! ;)
