I know a girl named Jeran, pronounced the same way. I don't like it that much, but mostly because I don't like her :/

I don't like it. It feels made up.

Spelling makes me want to rhyme it with Erin (eh), not Aaron (air). However, the pronunciation makes me think of that late 90s/early 00s band, Evan and Jaron. Overall, name's okay.

is it more of a G sound or a J? I like both though.

I knew a Gerran. I am kind of neutral to the name. I like it ok.

I don't really like it. It makes me think of gerund: the English -ing form of a verb when functioning as a noun, as writing in 'Writing is easy.'

Is it a hard G, like great, or a soft one like George? Because I really like the sound of it if it starts with a hard G. I don't like it if it's a soft G.

Ah. Well, it's not awful or anything, I don't like the sound of it. It looks nice though.

Reminds me of guerra, or war — or like somebody wanting to lengthen "Gerry" and not being quite sure how to do it apart from the traditional Gerald or Geraldine. I'm not a fan.

i went to school with a boy named Garen, pronounced the same way.

I prefer the spelling Garen, but either way, I think its a nice name.

Naturally. I'm just not a fan, and it's complete unfamiliarity is part of why.

Yeah, that's the other part of why I don't like it... as much as I love me some grammar.

I like it as Garren. I've never heard it, either. :)
