What do you think of Rudolf? Is the sound too weird, is it too German, does it not go with anything else? Not as a first name, but rather as a middle.

Well, after the reindeer, the first association I had was Adolf, so that's not good. For that reason, I'd go with the Rudolph spelling instead.

i think its fine as a middle. it would kind of stink on a kid these days, the teasing would be pretty merciless, but rudy is a fine nickname, imo.

also... in the german-speaking world this is old-fashioned. most rudolfs are like 60+ now.

I like it, along with lots of other olf names. Unfortunately, they have lots of social implications which end up as vetos.

It's my grandpa and uncle's name. I think Rudy is a nice nickname for it. I don't think I'd ever use it though.
