1) Sibset: Myles (17), Hayden (12), Quin (possibly Quinlan) (11), Nolan (11)
All boys. Youngest two are twins. I haven't seen these kids since my brother played baseball with Myles in third grade - I would "babysit" the younger boys (then 2 and 3) during their practices and games and the names have stuck with me throughout the years because I had never met or heard of anyone with those names, expect for Quin. I'm aware that they're a lot more popular these days, but opinions? Do you like the names any more/less based on their ages?

2) The name Lacey?

3) The name Madelyn/Madalyn? (pronounced mad-uh-lynn... not line)

4) The name Ryden? (I believe it's supposed to be like Ryder.. but the last name ends with "er" and they didn't want two "er"s)

5) Middle names for the name Norah?

So many questions! I know far too many people having babies and these are all names they're either thinking of or were thinking of before the baby was born - just wondering what people thought of them.

1. I like the sibset A LOT. I'd prefer Miles, but I love all the names.

2. I HATE Lacey. My friends called their daughter Lacey Louise and she's the cutest little thing.. but the name is soo ugly, imo.

3. I LOVE Madelyn, spelt Madeleine. It's my favourite name, and the one I plan on using for my next daughter!

4. Ryden isn't the worst name i've ever heard, but its definately not the best.

5. I like Norah a lot. Norah Elizabeth, Norah Camille, Norah Emily, Norah Evelyn, Norah Bethany, Norah Rachel, Norah Louise, Norah Claire.

1) Myles is okay, and I kind of like Quin and Nolan. I don't like Hayden, which makes me think of, well, hay. Their ages don't matter/make no difference.

2) I don't like it.

3) I really don't like it.

4) It's okay. I prefer Ryder, but with the last name thing, I guess Ryden is a good substitute.

5) Err...Norah Rae/Ray/Rei?

1.) Prefer Miles and Quinn, but they're okay. I don't like Hayden.

2.) Strippertastic.

3.) Like Madeleine/Madeline. Love it pronounced 'line.' Hate Madelyn with a passion, and hate Madalyn with even more passion. They're both so ugly compared to the correct spellings.

4.) Oh my god please can we stop with the -yden now??? No no nooooooo.

5.) Nora Charlotte
Nora Jane
Nora Maeve
Nora Susanne
Nora Quinn
Nora Caitlin

It's my boyfriend's name, and it's gotten a little more trendy lately but I think it's definitely better than Ryden by far.

I would say she will not have a problem. 95% of people in the US will pronounce "Madeline" and "Madelyn" the same way. It's a hugely popular name and in the US is almost exclusively pronounced "mad-uh-lynn" rather than "mad-ah-line." That's actually the reason I can't use the 'line' prn because nobody would ever get it right. The only difference is that 'Madeline' looks much more professional and mature and not like a six-year-old girl.

1) I like Miles (not with the y so much), and Nolan is nice enough. Myles is the only one I'd say seems nicer because of his age. The rest don't seem out of place agewise. I know a Nolan about that same age and I went to high school with one too.

2) I really dislike the name Lacey. It's probably one of the tackiest and trashiest sounding names I can think of.

3) I like Madeline and Madeleine (same pronunciation), but again, not a fan of unnecessary Ys.

4) Dislike... it's made-up.

5) I love love love Norah. I could come up with much more interesting combos, but I just love the sound of Norah Jane and Norah Katherine.

I suppose an amendment is in order. In French, it's prnounced kind of mad - lenn. Or, rather, the plural cookies are. (Madelines. Thems tasty-like.) That's probably peculiar to the s on the end. But, an i in French is pronounced e on it's own and ih or ee in use. That's a simplification, but it works. So, Madeline could be mad- e(h) - leen or mad-e(h)-lin or mad-lin but never MAD-uh-line.

However, it's often pronounced that way (MAD-uh-line) in English--and in the English version of the show based on the children's books--but not to the exclusion of the mad-lin pronunciation.

I like Miles, but not Myles. I also like Nolan (A LOT) and Hayden is okay. I don't like Quinlan/Quin at all, but for some reason, I dislike it on boys even more. The names are better because of their ages -- ahead of the trends.

I don't like Lacey. Sound trashy to me.

Madeleine, yes. Madelyn/Madalyn, no.

Ryden = ewwwwwww.

Norah is one of my FAVORITES.
Norah Caroline
Norah Juliet
Norah Genevieve
Norah Margaret
Norah Anne
Norah Matilda
