What do you think of the name Lillian? What do you think of when you hear the name? What do you think would be good names for siblings?

What do you think of the name Colton? What do you think of when you hear the name? What do you think would be good names for siblings?

What do you think of them as a sibset?

These aren't my names, but someone I know may be using them. I'm just seeing what the opinions of the general populace/name experts are.

Lillian is fine. Not a favorite of mine, personally but not for any particular reason. I find Lily to be a little too trendy, so that's probably my biggest turn off.

Colton sounds a little redneck or hick to me. That might just be because it makes me think of horses. I also find it kind of awkward to say. Colton does not just roll off the tongue.

I like Lillian. I think of my really nice fifth grade teacher who was called Lillian! Most names would work well with Lillian, actually, apart from the Mykayleigh ones ;)

I'm indifferent about Colton...I don't hate it, but I don't particularly like it either. Lillian & Colton is nice. Their endings sound quite similar, but that doesn't really bother me.

I like Lillian. I think that most names would work well with it if they have a similar classic sound. I don't think of anything specifically when I hear the name but I think that a name like Anna or Julia would sound nice with it.

I don't like Colton. I really really don't like it. However, I think it sounds just fine with Lillian.

I think Lillian and Colton seem missmatched. Maybe Lily and Colton but Lillian sounds classic to me and Colton sounds trendy and I just don't think they work together.

I like Lillianna better. Lillian is a little marmy to me. *shrugs* It's nice, and fine if I don't think about it too much.

Colton is okay. But I think coltan and that's not so shiny.

But, they sound good together, if the rhymey doesn't bother you.

I'm not a fan of Colton.

Lillian reminds me of The Rugrats... And so I think that it goes well with Phillip. :D

Lillian was my great gram's name. I love it. She was a beautiful warm woman who lived into her 90's and I was blessed to know so it only has good connotations for me.

I agree with the commenter who said Colton sounds a bit country and reminds them of horses. I pretty much would expect him to be nicknamed Bubba.

I love Lillian. I wouldn't actually use it because the nn's Lil and Lily remind me of the Rugrats. I think it would go with most names. Lillian & Catherine, Lillian & Madeleine, Lillian & Nicholas, Lillian & Benjamin, Lillian & Thomas (although that may be a little too Rugrats [Lil & Tommy])

Colton isn't a favourite of mine, but I don't dislike it. It sounds like the name of a shop, or maybe a pet rather than a child. I can't imagine it on an adult either. Infact, the more I think about it the less I like it. Colton would probably sound best with a trendy name, i.e Colton & Hailey, Colton & Aidan. Other ideas; Colton & Amelia, Colton & Ashley, Colton & Sydney, Colton & Spencer.

And finally, I think they'd make a nice enough sibset. :)

Lillian makes me think of a rich old lady, and Colton makes me think of a cowboy.

Colton makes me think...colt (horse), cowboy.
Lillian...I hate the way this name sounds. Anyway, it always makes me think of Lilith, a demon associated with disease/death. >_> :(

I don't think Lillian and Colton go together. Lillian to me is a little old fashioned and Colton sounds new/popular/trendy.

I like Lillian a lot. It's not my style but I think it's a beautiful name. I think it's a pretty name that ages well.

Colton is awful. All I can think of is horses.

I am biased since I have a Lillian :) She is named after my husband's grandmother. She was also named before I realized how damn popular Lily was going to get! She does go by Lily or Lil but I tend to call her Lillian more.

She has a baby sister Elaina who we call Ellie :)

I knew a little boy named Colton - he was cute, had red hair. He's got to be close to 20 years old now. Anyway, his name reminded me of the piano brand.

I hate Lillian. Anything 'Lil', I hate. They're all ugly. I don't hate Colton, but probably because I think of my friend Colton. It's not really my style.

Lillian is nice but bland. Colton CRACKS ME UP. It sounds like an uneducated person trying to create a more formal name out of the name Cole.
