It's okay. I like Aisha (Ah-ee-sha) better.

Don't like it at all. Possibly because it sounds quite ethnic american (latisha, Felicia Matiesha...etc) & I'm generally not a fan of those sounds.

It's ok...I've definitely heard worse.

But there's this scene in the movie Coach Carter, when Ashanti's character is talking to her friends about her impending baby, and she says, "What about Harmony?" and they all say that's nice and pretty, and they talk about how the boyfriend wants a boy. And then she says, "what about Shanequa?" and they say, "um, the ghetto called, and they want their name back."

If a name even REMOTELY sounds like it would work in that conversation, I always want to laugh a little.

I've met one, spelled Anisha. It's fine... unusual, but people will get used to it pretty quickly. At least it sounds like a real girls' name.
