Jun. 2nd, 2006 08:16 amI don't like repeating myself. I said this a few weeks ago. I don't like the 'name-me' posts either, but they are more or less on topic with names. I really dislike the idea of some of you running off people that aren't pregnant or TTC. Some people are here just because they love names, and that's a wonderful thing if you ask me. I'd like for them to stay, as they have good ideas and offer TONS of good advice to those who ask for it. (Mostly in a polite way, may I add.) If you don't like it, do what I do and skip over it. They are well labeled, under a cut, and more or less un-obtrusive. Don't come here and posting rude drama-stirring posts because you can't ignore it. I especially don't appreciate some of you making some of our good members possibly feel unwelcome with all this 'we should be strictly baby names' business. This is SUPPOSED to be a relaxed and laid back community for ALL people. Lets keep it that way.

Date: 2006-06-02 05:45 pm (UTC)seriously, people can think of the renaming posts as stupid, immature, whatever the fuck as much as they want... just don't stir up drama over it. such a waste of time.

Date: 2006-06-02 08:41 pm (UTC)Like I said in that thread, no skin off my nose in my life ultimately; I skip over them; I'm over it. Still annoyed? Yes. Harping on it, not really. I thought those links might be useful.
Another thing though - I don't come here to read foul language.

Date: 2006-06-02 08:45 pm (UTC)2. No one is talking about you at all, there was a RUDE post that I deleted this morning.
3. There's no rules against it, deal with it or don't read it. Your choice. Just don't complain if you choose to read it and it happens to offend you.

3. How can I know not to read it until I have already read it? It's not a huge deal, but I think swearing is overused in society as it is, and I just don't think this is the place for it. Rule or not, there are some things that are just unnecessary.
