How do feel about using states as baby names? I met a lady today named California.



Personally, I've always liked Georgia.

Quite a few state names were people's first names before they were state names (at least, as far as my understanding goes... I could be horribly wrong, I guess), so they're not too bad... Some of them just sound weird, though...

At a clinic I used to work at we had a family of child patients, a couple sisters and a cousin or two, who all had state names. I remember there definitely was a Utah, an Alaska, and then I think it was Montana and Tennessee, I think.

I love the name Georgia. I feel like the only state names that actually sound normal on a person are Georgia, Dakota, Virginia and Carolina.

Honestly I have no idea but they were like from Poland, polish so I doubt they got it from the state.

I realize that "from poland, polish" does not make sense but I think you get what I mean.

Georgia is very acceptable. I know a girl called Arizona which I don't question either.
I know these aren't states but my friends boss's children are called Memphis and Vegas....wth.
