[identity profile] laminy.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Was this posted? I don't think it was, but if it was, feel free to ignore.

Anne Heche recently gave birth to her second child, a boy named Atlas. Her first child is a boy named Homer. WDYT?

Good names - if Homer wasn't already taken by Homer Jay Simpson. I understand her intentions and love them, but...

GAWD, are we going through another 60s period where Dweezil and MoonUnit will smile because they're halfway normal?

Its pretty geographical.. I heard it was Atlas Heche Tupper on ONTD. I'm hoping Tupper is the father's last name and not a tribute to plastic food-holding boxes.

I just read this a few hours ago on some site, and I have to say I don't hate it. I would like Homer too if it wasn't for the simpsons.

I like both. Atlas is a bit much for me personally, but Homer is on my list.

Yep, I wondered if she was a Classics major (or fan), with the classical poet for the first child and the mythological Titan for the second.

I'm just reading Atlas Shrugged (awesome must read book, btw) and I really like the name. It's fitting for the times.
