[identity profile] laminy.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
I literally don't think that I can ever stop adding to my list, but I've got all my favourite names for right now, either on it or ready to go on it. I like to put names on my list with middle names already, but I've got a few leftovers on either side.

Can anybody come up with any pairings/triples in these names? Bolded names are the ones that I would for sure want to use as a first name.

Aimee
Carrin
Erin
Georgia/Georgie
Hazel
Leighton

Levan
Lois
Mae
Minka

Austin
Cash
Francis
Gray
Ioan
Orlando
Orrin
Shiloh

I'm not on my way to having kids for awhile, I just love my list and like it to be organized and include everything I like for now, so I want these names to be in combinations.

Aimee- The name is bland, and the french spelling doesn't spice it up any more.
Carrin- As far as I'm aware this isn't a legitimate name.
Ein- Okay, dated in America though.
Georgia/Georgie- Georgia is fine, Georgie is only fnie as a nickname.
Hazel- I don't like it myeslf, no reason though it's fine.
Leighton- possibly the ugliest 'female' name ever.
Levan- Again, not sure this is legitimate.
Lois- Unexpected, I like it.
Mae- Bit too short for me.
Minka- sounds like a pet name for a vagina.

Austin- Trendy place name
Cash- Terribly celebriyish
Francis- Like a lot, Frank or Frankie is sweet.
Gray- A colour, stylish to wear, depressing to name your kid.
Ioan- Not exactly sure how to pronounce it
Orlando- See Cash
Orrin- I prefer Oran, same roots.
Shiloh- Brangelina.

Aimee - I know it's popular and some people would say it's "dated", but I still like it. :o)
Carrin - Don't really like the name Karen much, however you spell it.
Erin - Again, popular and "dated", but I've always kind of liked it. I love the Irish spelling: Eireann.
Georgia/Georgie - Not my style really, but I don't see anything wrong with it.
Hazel - I have a good friend named Hazel, and she's really short and tiny and really, really bubbly and fun and laughs a lot. So I can only think of her when I hear the name. Not "old lady" to me at all.
Leighton - Don't like it.
Levan - Don't like this one either.
Lois - I don't really care for it, but I don't think it's awful.
Mae - I like this as a middle name.
Minka - Makes me think of a minx.

Austin - I kind of like this.
Cash - Don't like it.
Francis - Family name for me. I've always liked it.
Gray - Not a fan.
Ioan - Like this one...especially this Welsh spelling. :o)
Orlando - I like this one. Mostly because of Shakespeare. But I think most people probably think of Orlando Bloom or Florida when they see it.
Orrin - Alright.
Shiloh - I like this name because of the book, but I couldn't imagine ever using it.

Lots of baby name websites list all the variations and accept made up names.
If Carrin is meant to be a variation on Karen, it comes across as somewhat illiterate. Carin is the Swedish variant, though I don't see why you'd use it unless you're actually Swedish.

Ioan, hmm I like it. Isn't it Welsh?
