Out of curiousity, what do you all think of the name Eleanora(h)? Or do you prefer just Eleanor?

I prefer Eleanor.

I like both, though. :) I'm due in July, and Eleanor is going to be my little girl's name.

I love Eleanor (and Elinor, after the character in Jane Austen's novel).
It's on my "list."

Eleanora is pretty too. Never heard it before though.

Eleanora is fine. Eleanorah looks unnecessarily elaborated. I prefer Eleanor though, but I like the spelling Elinor better. The "Ele" part in Eleanor reminds me of elephants, and it makes the name look sort of unattractive to me.

Elinor's on my list too! (After Sense and Sensibility as well). I'm usually in the minority with liking to spell it that way.

I love the name Eleanor/Elinor. I've never really thought of the name Eleanora or Eleanorah but now that you mention them, it's a very pretty name. I'd probably go with Eleanora as opposed to Eleanorah.

Yay! Yeah, I don't find many others who like the Elinor spelling. But I just love it.

i like eleanor, and while i'm okay with nora(h), i really prefer the names seperate :) it kinda calls to mind "renesmee carlie" which makes me twitch a bit. eleanor is simply lovely!

I prefer Eleanor, but I like Eleanora okay. No h please!

Actually, I really like the name Eleanora, it reminds me of Honora. I think I slightly prefer Eleanor. :) The extra h does makes it look weird.

Both are pretty, but I like Eleanor better.

It's too overdone with me.

Eleanor is gorgeous.

If you're looking for the nickname Norah, I don't think you need the -ah on the end of Eleanor to make it work.

I'd spell it Elinor too :)

I prefer Eleanor, but I would consider adding an -a to help my family out.

Both are fine. Eleanora (no h!)might be more likely to be shortened by friends and family.

They're both pretty, so I'd go with which one flowed better with the surname.

the legit spellings are either Eleanor or EleOnora

I prefer Eleanor/Elinor, but I could see Eleanora/Elaonora working in some circumstances, dependening on surname and middle name.

I like Eleanor better than Eleonora, though Eleonora is very pretty. Eleonorah sounds a bit too much, almost tacky. But Leonor is my favorite among all variants.

Well, I'm an Elinor girl, so while I don't exactly prefer just Eleanor, I think that it sounds better. Eleanora just sounds like so much, I don't think that it needs the extra -ah.

I saw an Ellanora once who was born around the '20s and I kind of cringed.
