Would anyone know of a book or website that has a nice sized list of gaelic names? it would be helpful if it had the history, meanings, and pronunciations as well.

Also, what do you think of the names Abilene and Fallon? What middle names would you pick for them? I think Abilene Summer is really pretty.

The only problem with some Gaelic names is pronunciation. Not for you, but for the baby's future friends/classmates/teachers/whatever. I imagine its quite a pain in the butt to have to correct everyone all of the time :\

Fallon is definitely a boy name to me. Abilene is sort of pretty.

Fallon's nice. Would it be on a boy?

Is Abilene pronounced like Maybelline? Or like... Abb-uh-leen?

She's updated the site since I last visited! I love where she says, "...coo it, croon it and finally shout it out as if you were calling the wee’un in from play." :)

I agree with those who've said Fallon is a boy's name.

I'm tempted to read it as (M)Aybelline too, although I figured it was probably Abb-ih-leen or Ahb-ih-leen. I still here the "maybe it's Maybelline" jingle when I see the name.

Sorry my comments aren't too positive on these, but here's a site you might like! http://www.namenerds.com/
