I like it, but pronounced the American-ized way - Uh-THEE-nuh. My two friends are from Greece and their cousin is named that, she pronounces it AH-thee-NUH. For some reason it makes me so uncomfortable to pronounce it that way out loud, so I just refer to her as "your cousin."
It's a pretty good name. I'd never use it though- I've known 2 people with this name, one was spelled Atheena (AtheenaKae was her full first name actually) and she died as a baby, the other was a strange young mother of 5 I went to college with. :/
I wouldn't use it, but that's probably because I am a representative for Athena's Home Novelties, which is a line of adult toys and novelties haha. But I think I would like it otherwise.
