If I was to have a baby girl right now, I think I'd want to use Lynn as a middle name. Any first name suggestions? Nothing super-trendy, no Madison's or Mackenzie's or Kaylee's.

Examples of some girl names I like are: Genevieve, Evangeline, Lillian (but I'd never use it because my niece is Lilliana), Caroline, Coraline, Emma, Hannah. But I don't think any of those sound good with Lynn...

I'm not a big fan of Lynn, just because it always sounds like a filler middle name/kind of trashy. That being said, here are some ideas, regardless:

Henrietta Lynn
Juliana Lynn
Rachel Lynn
Nadia Lynn
Beatrice Lynn
Victoria Lynn

Rachael Lynn reminds me of Rachael Lind from Anne of Green Gables, the evil old lady. Bad news bears!

I prefer Lynn on a boy, myself, but I think a good rule of thumb when pairing it with a feminine name is... nothing with a "line" or "lyn" already in it. It just sounds funny together.

I'm so so sick of the trendy names and it makes me so annoyed because back when we had our daughter Kaleigh (Kaylee) was not popular and now its everywhere! Arg! lol

Same with Emily, Grace, Sophie...those were all names I USED to like until they got sooo popular. =o/

I'm having a hard time with baby names too but so far for a girl we like

'Zoe Lynn'
'Maia Tatum'
'Tatum Paige'
And yeah...I doubt the kid will actually get any of those names in the end! lol

Aw it makes me sad that you think that about Rachel Lynde. I certainly don't feel that way.

I think with the names you suggested, Hannah Lynn sounds nice.

I'm Rebecca Lynn, so of course I'm partial to that :)

People I've known with the middle name Lynn: Jessica, Jennifer, Kristina

The only other name that pops into mind is Audra.

Ugh I'm with you on liking names and then having them become popular. :(
I have loved the names Sophia and Olivia all my life... and then it seems like BOOM in the last few years they have become wildly popular and now I probably won't end up using them because I don't want my children to have a bunch of peers with the same first name. :\

My sister-in-law is a Heather Lynn. I'm not a fan of Lynn as a middle name because, like some other people said, it sounds like a "filler" name to me... but "Heather Lynn" works for me.

It's frustrating because back almost 7 yrs ago when we had our daughter we were going to name her "Emily Grace" and then didn't because that seemed like it was getting quite popular. So we went with Kaleigh Makenzie and now those two names are going nuts!!

My middle name is Lynn and it seems like 50% of my friends have the same middle name.
I'm Sabrina Lynn (mom shortened it from Kaitlyn).

I like the idea from mpepper, Cora Lynn.

Yes - my sister listens to country music so she told me about it when it came out. It's fun having a song with your name in it.

There's a Kenny Rogers song with the name Becky or Rebecca, I can't remember which. As a little kid I was thrilled to hear my name in a song. I say use the names if you love them, even if you got them from songs.

Elizabeth
Grace
May
Anne
Diana
Rachel
Marilla
Nancy
Marcia

I don't know, just throwing those out there.

Just an FYI, it's Becky and the song is "Coward of the County". (Sorry, I saw "Kenny Rogers" and just had to go search it).

Awesome. It's been SO long since I heard it I wouldn't have even known where to start. I loved Kenny as a little kid.

The association was what made me think of pairing the names, but with the names being fairly. . .common (as in, not a combo of names or something) I don't think it's as obvious on association as say naming your kid Anne Cordelia.

I love Kenny Rogers. But I didn't really realize it said a name in there until I googled "Kenny Rogers" + "Rebecca". In country music I associate Becky with "What Was I Thinkin'" by Dierks Bentley.
