I have a roommate named Nicholas - or, that's what I always assumed his name was, anyway. Well, I recently found out that it's spelt like Nickalus. WDYT? I think it's eh.... not the greatest. And the 'lus' part at the end kind of looks gross to me. I don't know if that makes any sense, but yeah.

Nickalus..... ugh. The "lus" totally grosses me out too, it reminds me of "pus".

I think if I saw it written like that I would just assume it was a foreign name. I tend to give those types of name more of a free pass - like, I would totally think Gangandeep was a weird name and rather ugly, but because I know it's an Indian name I just accept it...I don't know what any of this says about me, but it means I don't judge this name as I know I normally would...

At first I thought you spelled Nicklaus, because I've seen that before. But Nickalus? Yeah, I agree that spelling's a little awkward.
