I prefer Benjamin Thomas by a long shot, but I also like Ben as a nickname for Bennett, which isn't listed there.

I think that Ben could be a legit nickname for Reuben, sure. It's in the name, and everything. It's not completely instinctive, but it makes sense.

Benjamin Thomas is probably my favorite. It's really plain, though.

I much (much, much, much!) prefer Benjamin over Bentley and Benedict, as well as Bennett which isn't listed. Bentley makes me think of cars and Benedict makes me think of traitors and eggs, ha. And I definitely can see Ben as a nn for Ruben--both Ben and Rue make cute nicknames.

The only other Ben name I like besides Benjamin is Benoit. ;)

I like Benjamin Thomas. But I am not a huge fan of Benjamin. Love Ben though! I really like Bennett.

I think Ben could work for Ruben. You might get a few odd looks. But who cares?
