what do you think of the name alice? middle name suggestions? is it kind of tacky if my sister's name is allison? (and i'm not using alice to honor her with?)
Hmm, I don't know... my great-grandma's name is Alice, and my name is Alison, and no one ever thought anything of it or made the connection until I pointed it out when I was like 19. My great-grandma's name is Alice Ruth.
I love Alice, my favorite combo is Alice Rebecca :) I wouldn't consider it tacky, I don't even think they're close enough to cause confusion when said out loud.
I think it is pretty close to Allison, but I guess it would depend on how close you are to your sister, and if either she or future-Alice ever go by Allie.
I love the name Alice and I like Alice June, Alice Rosemary, Alice Margot, Alice Esme, Alice Sophia, Alice Eleanor....it seems like it pairs well with a lot of other names. :)
My name is Molly and my aunt's name is Holly but it's never really that confusing. Also my cousin and aunt are both named Meg (Margaret and Meghan). But it was never a huge issue, if anything they just differentiated with Big Meg and Little Meg. So I don't think it would be too big of a deal if an aunt and niece had similar names. BTW, I love Alice, it's one of my favorites.
my name is Adrienne, my sister named her baby Adrianna, not after me. I'd have thought it was tacky for any other reason than why she did it (we had a friend in our teens named Adrianna, who died of cancer.)
