Hello everyone! I'm new here. I'm having a baby in July, and just starting to think of some options for names. If I have a boy, his middle name will be Patrick [after my dad]. If I had a girl always wanted to give her the middle name 'Marie' [it's a family middle name], but I think it sounds kind of funny with my fiance's last name. Too many M's. Here's my list. Anyone have any suggestions on combos for the girls?

Adelaide is perhaps my favourite girls name. It's fabulous. Unfortunately I don't know if it goes so well with the middle names you've chosen.

Kennedy is my fiances ideal girls name. I'm sorry but I find it absolutely horrid. It's masculine and a surname, and doesn't fit with ANYTHING else on your list.

Yeahhh... I'm having problems figuring out what sounds good with Adelaide... The two middle names are just names that I wouldn't use as a first but would for a middle. Any of them I would use for middle, though.

I think I have a thing for the more manly names... If it's a girl and we name her Georgia, I would probably end up calling her George. :) I hate George as a boy's name, but I think it's kinda cute for a girl.

Hehe :p Gordon [Gordy] Patrick was my favorite name forever. Unfortunately my fiance hates it.

I really like Francesca!! I never thought of that. I'm one of those people that wants their child to have a longer name and then call it by it's nickname.

Apart from Kennedy, Regan and Zoey, I love your girl names! Of your boy names I like Nathaniel, Levi, Silas and Elliot.

As for combination suggestions, I like Eleanor Paige and Penelope Hazel.

Marie works pretty much with every name...too bad it looks like a filler name (it's a family name for me, too).

Adelaide & Oliver are my future childrens names!

Adelaide is very hard to pick a middle name for. Right now I'm leaning towards Adelaide Joyce (after my gma) or maybe just Joy. but Joy kind of sounds too cutsie.

I looove the name Frankie for a girl, but as a nickname.

I also really like Oliver Patrick.

I love Eleanor and Georgia. And I think that either of them would sound really nice with Hazel, which is a name I'm starting to warm up to. I also think that Eliza Paige sounds nice.

I kind of like masculine nicknames on girls too, George/Georgie, Charlie (Charlotte) etc. But for the life of me I can't wrap my head around Kennedy. And believe me I've tried. My fiance LOVES the name.

I think Marie sounds okay with any of those, the only combo of those I wouldn't do is Eliza Hazel because of the double Z's. I really dislike Adelaide, I just think it sounds ugly, sorry. Everyone seems to love it right now, but it feels like a trend to me, because 10 years ago most people would've disliked it, and I think a good name should sound pleasing no matter what year it occurs in.

I obviously don't know what the surname is, but I wouldn't worry too much about it having the same letter as Marie. If that's the name you like best, you should go with that.

I also like Francesca, with the nn Frankie, as suggested above! I think if you were going to use it, you need a smaller second name... such as Francesca Zoey.

On the Marie thing... most people won't use her whole name (I assume) so the mmmmm thing might not affect her too much. Especially if she later gets married and changes her surname. If it is special to you, I'd still use it. Marie works well with most of your girl names!
