[identity profile] evokes.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi everyone!
Im new to community but have been a long time watcher and collecter of names.

Now a little back story.

I am currently 9 weeks pregnant and have been trying to choose a name. The issue is that my fiancee and i cannot agree. He likes very tyical names such as...Samantha, Heather, Ryan, David etc.. No offence to others with those names or like those names!

Where i on the other hand like names such as Audrina, Evelyn, Xander or Gavin.

Recently we both agreed that we could tolerate the names Hailey Marie for a girl. Hailey being a name we both agreed upon and Marie being a traditonal middle name in my family for the first born girl. This is not the issues, its the boys name we have trouble with but im open to comments.

The boys name we have chosen was Nathan...now the dilemma. As a middle name we again decided to use names with a family iffluence. Since my fiancee is Jaye Jr. We decided to put Jaye into our sons name should we have one. However, i also wanted to combine my fathers name Peter.
In your opinion should it be...

Nathan Jaye-Peter
or
Nathan Peter-Jaye

Sorry for the length or the post!

Oooh, I like Nathan! I think it depends on your surname, but I'm leaning towards Peter Jaye. Why the hyphen?

I was going to ask that, why the hyphen? Nathan Peter Jaye looks better without it.

Just 'Peter Jaye' sounds nice too.

I like Nathan Jaye-Peter, but whichever one you choose, I would definitely go without the hyphen.

'Tolerating' Hailey Marie makes me think it shouldn't be what you call your daughter. You've still got some months to come up with something perfect :)

I just sampled it with a variety of last names in my head, and it always sounded better as Nathan Peter Jaye
