20 weeks pregnant and still no girl names chosen and it's bugging me lol We're about 90% settled on Janelle as the middle name...To some, the reason behind Janelle is silly, but it makes sense to me so that's all that matters right? Anyway...the reason is that we wanted to name this baby (should it be a girl) after my mom. the problem with that is that my mom has a horrible name lol No, really, she's told me over and over to never name a child after her. Her name, by the way, is Cheryl Jean. SO. My dad and myself have been blessed (or cursed) with the middle name Lee/Leigh. Sooo I took Jean and Lee and came up with Janelle...it's like a mix of he letters of their middle names so I think it kinda works lol
Now as for middle names, we have pretty much nothing.
Here's a few of the choices we're tossing around at the moment...so tell me what you think of these with Janelle as the middle name...

Audrey
Rebecca
Katherine
Alison
Erica (not a huge fan but hubby loves it and i could deal with it)
Elise

see how pitiful our list is. lol Give me advice, PLEASE.

I like Janelle -- I have a friend named this, so I have positive associations.

Audrey Janelle or Katherine Janelle would be my #1 choice. I think Katherine works well, because she could be Katherine or Kate or Katie, depending on her personality.

Alison is nice, too, and I think it fits in well with your other kids' names.

I suggest Alison... because it is my name, haha. Seriously, though, as an Alison, I can throw in a good word for it. I've always liked my name a lot, and she won't run into many others. Plus, major props for using the traditional spelling!

There's nothing wrong with the name Cheryl! I'm biased though because I have two aunts named Cheryl. However, I think that's one of those names that was really popular during the 1960s and 1970s, but might feel outdated on a baby today.

In any event, the name that goes the best I think is Audrey Janelle. Erica Janelle fits too, but I never really liked the name Erica.

I had a friend named Janel who died in a car accident in high school, and I remember her mom saying at the funeral that they chose the name because it meant something like "God's greatest gift." I always thought that was sweet, and I love the name. (in all its spellings!)

sorry it took so long to reply! I don't think Cheryl is a bad name either, in fact, we seriously thought about Sherryl btu my mom is the one who HATES her name and insists that it's horrible :)
