Why are people so stupid sometimes?

My daughter Lilah is in the first grade, she has a very small class, being in a rural area, that's not so unusual. What is unusual is the name of one of her classmates... Eboney. Eboney is a green eyed, blonde haired, pastey skinned little girl who has the unfortunate name her idiot parents slapped on her. She will most likely have people snickering behind her back for the rest of her life. Poor thing. But, I also feel sorry for her older sister too, so very poorly named. That unfortunate soul was stuck with the name... Hunter! I kid you not, most likely two of the worst names I've ever encountered here in this mostly tame school district.
