We have finally decided on a name for our second child.
If its a boy, Gabriel Wallace.
If its a girl, Kaitlin Mckenzie,
The older sister is named Kirstin Marie.

What do you all think?

I like Gabriel Wallace.

Kaitlin Mckenzie is very trendy and the combo is way too matchy with Kristin Marie. I'd pick something that's not the same initials and that isn't quite so 90s/00s.

At least spell it the old fashioned way: Caitlin Mackenzie is less trendy-looking and doesn't box you into a naming trend for your next child. It would look weird to have two KMs but then use a GW or something.

I like Gabriel Wallace, I think it's very tasteful!
Kaitlin and Kirstin are too trendy/matchy.
I prefer Mackenzie spelled like this for a first or middle name.
Mc-stuff is just TOO last name-y.

Caitlin Mackenzie would be kind of sweet, actually!

i like gabriel, and i like kaitlin (i prefer caitlin) but i think kirstin and kaitlin sound like you might be tripping over them if you try to say them together.

I like Caitlin, but spelled Caitlin. I think if you spell it 'Kaitlin', people are going to either spell it the first way, or try to put a y in there - Kaitlyn. So I'd recommend either Caitlin or Kaitlyn. Kaitlin and Kirstin are too similar for me (I really dislike repeating letters in kids' names), but that's just me.

Gabriel Wallace is nice. :)

my advice is, if you've finally decided with your names and you're happy with them.. that's when you should stop asking for outsiders' opinions. cause then you'll have doubts again.

i don't know, that's my opinion

If you go with the y spelling, I'd go with Katelyn. Katelyn and Caitlin seem to be the two "most common" spellings, although I know there are about eight billion out there.

Kaitlin McKenzie seems so very 90s, but I do like Kaitlin spelled Caitlin. Mckenzie is really not my taste at all.

I like Gabriel Wallace. Is Wallace a family name?

I don't like Wallace all that much, but Gabriel Wallace flows very well!

I like the sound of Kaitlin McKenzie a lot, but I like the spelling Caitlin better.

I second the others' comments about Kaitlin Mckenzie being too matchy and trendy, and my own concern is that Kaitlin Mckenzie doesn't have the same style as Kirstin Marie. I don't care for matchy-matchy names, but I do think it's best to have one style for all of your children's names. While Kirstin Marie is classy and timeless and a bit Little House on the Prairie sweet, Kaitlin Mckenzie is very late 90s/early 00s and is trendy. Very trendy. I'd think about it.

I love Gabriel Wallace!

Pfft... I'm Samaria, my sister's Monet, we are nine years apart and are totally different, and I get called my my sister's name all of the time. XD

So yeah, imagine what it'd be like for a Kaitlin-Kirstin pair.

Gabriel and Kirsten go really well together, but not so much with Kaitlin Mckenzie. Also, about a comment you made above, I'm not really sure why your bf wants all the girls' names to start with K. That doesn't make a lot of sense (what if you have three girls -- Kirsten, Kaitlin, Kelly and... Gabriel? one of these thiiiings is not like the ooothers...). And names that are so close to each other are going to be hard to keep straight. I also agree that Kaitlin Mckenzie is not in the same style as your other names. They match in all the wrong ways but don't match in the right ones. I would really really rethink this one.

Suggestions:

Molly
Bethany
Abigail
Claire
Charlotte
Josephine
Hannah
Amelia
Audrey
Sadie

I like Gabriel Wallace.

While they're both decent names, I personally dislike Kaitlin and McKenzie. Just my opinion.

Also, I think Kaitlin and Kirstin are too matchy.

Haha, my best friend is named Katelyn and her sister is named Kirstin!

They're both nice names, but I've always thought they were really matchy - especially since their parents' names are Kathy and Craig.
