Are Isobel and Elisabeth too similar to be a sibset? WDYT?

If their nicknames are Lizzy and Izzy, yes.

Under normal circumstances I would say yes; I'm not fond of siblings that have the same name in different languages. I know of a Kathrynne and Kaitlynn pair, and it boggles my mind how parents can give their kids not only the variations of the same name, but also similar sounding variations. But! I think Isobel (love that spelling) and Elisabeth are different enough to get away with, and most people won't blink. It'd be like naming two sons John and Shane - they don't even sound alike! No one would know that they are variations of the same name.

As like as they aren't nicknamed Lizzie and Izzy or something...

Yes, since they are the same name in different languages.

I believe they are. They're the same name at the root.
But if at least one were a middle name, then that would be fine.

Eh, I think only name nerds (apparently at a level higher than my own) will notice that they are the same name in a different language.

Considering that they're just the same names in different languages, yes, they are way too similar. That's worse than having the same letter at the beginning, or rhyming. They're just the same.
