A name

One of my coworkers, Derek, and his wife Kathryn, just had a baby girl named Violet Grace. The last name rhymes with amoeba, but it's only 2 syllables.

(I really wanted to include the word amoeba in this post!)

I like Violet. I think it's very pretty. Grace is NMS but I guess it's ok.

My problem with the name Violet is that it sounds so much like 'violent' =\.

Unless you pronounce it Vee-oh-LET, of course. That's pretty.

I absolutely love it! I would use Violet myself, and even though Grace is pretty common, it's very nice.
