My cousins aged 10 and 15 are named Ruby and Reuben. The story is that my aunt and uncle let the 5 year old Reuben name his baby sister.

I think Aleksandra is a legitimate spelling. Pheona is pretty different though.

It's either Ruben (with or without umlaut), or Rueben.
Reuben would be pronounced Roy-ben in german. That takes the purpose out of spelling it any different than just Ruben (if you're going for the RUE-ben prn)

I love Reuben! :) Ruby is also very pretty. Ruben is ok, but Rueben just looks weird to me.
