Couple ask bloggers to vote on baby name
Oct. 19th, 2008 07:10 pmBooks of baby names are so yesterday. Jason Morrison is running an online "name our baby" poll instead.
Morrison, a Google staffer in California, is soliciting votes from the public on what to name his baby, who is due Nov. 16.
"It started as a little bit of a joke," said Morrison, 29. "We [he and his wife, Ann] came up with a short list - but we were having a hard time narrowing it down."
More than 2,000 people have voted in the month since he launched the poll.
Olivia is leading among the choices for a girl's name. Dylan has gotten the most votes for a boy's name, but Nikolas, Levi and Isaac are close behind.
The couple cooked up the poll as a way to get input on baby-naming from family members and friends they left behind when they moved to California from Cleveland in January.
