Some fun in two parts:
Oct. 14th, 2008 08:43 pmFirst, the usual 'what do you think of my name list?' question:
Irena
Mirabelle
Emmaline
Honora (Nora)
Winifred
Zofia or Zoe
Cassidy
Franklin
Theron
Ronen or Ramon or Raymond
Cyrus
Patrick or Pherick
Lorcan
Haldan (Hal)
Kelsey (neither of us can decide which gender we prefer it for...)
------
Second part, I'm fully aware my names are not everyone's cup of tea.
So - what names would *you* pick to continue our current family of names (feel free to add as few or many as you feel like!). Only rule I'm going to give is no two people can share the same initial. My husband and I are J and D and out last name begins with a G and kinda sounds like carrot.
My two children are Owen and Alexandra.

Have fun!

Date: 2008-10-14 08:42 pm (UTC)I would go with something like Brendan and Charlotte to continue on with your family. They're not really my favourite names, I just think that they're both pretty names and Owen and Alexandra are really pretty too. Your children's names are a great sibset :)

Date: 2008-10-14 08:54 pm (UTC)Mirabelle- Very sweet.
Emmaline- Lovely, but not if she'll be called Emma as a nn. I know far too many Emma's to enjoy it anymore.
Honora (Nora)- I don't like Nora at all, I hear 'gnaw her' but Honora is lovely on paper.
Winifred- Urgh, Winnie? Fred? No thanks.
Zofia or Zoe- Zofia, only if you have a cultural reason otherwise it seems pointlessly trendy. Zoe bores me.
Cassidy- Rather tacky.
Franklin- A bit presedential, but it's okay.
Theron- I didn't realise it was a legitimate name. Now I do, I like.
Ronen or Ramon or Raymond- Hate Raymond and Ramon. I like Ronan and Roman though.
Cyrus- I used to love this name, now I just think 'Miley'.
Patrick or Pherick- Pheric makes me think phalic.. Patrick is okay, not my style though.
Lorcan- Lorcán... i'm so blah about any name with two syllables that ends in -on/an/en (Owen doesn't count though.. it's a well established name!)
Haldan (Hal)- See above. I don't care for Hal either.
Kelsey is quite common in the trashy way around here, and I would be rather stunned to see it on a boy.

Eva

Cordelia
Florence
Rosabel
Cassia
Reid
Benjamin
Euan

Date: 2008-10-14 09:59 pm (UTC)Out of the names you listed, I like Irena, Mirabelle, Emmaline, Honora (Nora), Raymond, and Cyrus. Franklin is kind of growing on me too, for some reason, even though I used to hate it.
