Character name advice
Oct. 12th, 2008 08:52 pmI'm writing a short story based on a female character who is a sex addict. The story evolves around this main trait.
The story is set in modern times, in some cold, big city in the US.
She's about 25-30 years old, shortish and skinny-ish, with shoulder-length brown wavy hair and big greenish-hazel eyes. When the story begins, she's working on becoming a lawyer. She's a very creative person with vivid imagination, but also has a marked professional side.
She has a female best friend and their relationship is basically the Sex-and-the-city type.
She also has boyfriend, and it's here in this relationship that her addiction slowly emerges.
(Their names have yet to be decided as well)
What do you think her name should be? :)

Or Katherine, as I'm thinking along the lines of the nickname Kitty, as related to "sex kitten"...or Catherine, with the nickname Cat, which is sometimes an icon of lust, in itself...
Michelle or Shelly comes to mind, thanks to Venus on a Half Shell.
Then there are red-related names, like Scarlett or Ruby, or fire-related names, like Aidan or Kenna...Robin, as in red-breast, or Cerise, as in cherry...Rose or Rosie...hell, Rosamond seems sort of fitting, almost like a red herring to make you think she's innocent...and on that note, maybe Carmen, which is also Mary-related, or Lily, which is a symbol of innocence and purity...or Chrissy, like Chrysanthemum, only usable as a name...
I think I'm out of ideas. Good luck!
