My significant other and I are pretty much decided on probable baby names. I'm not pregnant right now but at this point it's not too early to talk about. I was just looking for some feedback on the names we are thinking of, and any possible suggestions for alternatives for the middle names...or even first names! I've been convinced to change my mind by this community a few times ;)

Claire Isadora (girl)
Felix Grey (boy)
James Zachariah (boy)

(Last name is a 4 syllable name starting with B and ending with R)

i think claire isadora is fabulous!

i also like felix a lot, and gray is my mothers maiden name, so am planning on using it as a middle also, but i dont particularly like them paired together. i would put something more traditional with felix, like james or something. just my cents.

i like james a lot, i think its wonderful and classic, but i really dislike zachariah.

Thanks for your comment! Yeah, I can see where Felix might need a more traditional middle name. I'll keep that in mind. Zachariah isn't my favorite name ever, either, but it has really special meaning to us so we definitely want to use it. Do you think switching the names would work? Felix Zachariah and James Grey?

Love Claire Isadora. =)

Used to dislike Felix, but it's growing on me. I actually think Grey sounds good with it, although the name itself is a little out there for me. I think James Grey is too choppy unless it really works with your last name.

Zachariah is, for whatever reason, too blatantly Biblical for me, which is utterly nonsensical because I love other blatantly Biblical names like Isaac. I think it's the "-riah" part that gives me a Biblical-in-a-bad-way vibe.

James is nms but a nice name. I suggest:

james gray sounds funny to me because thats my uncles name (first and last) but aside from that, i think its nice.

felix zachariah is a little out there for me, but i am having a hard time shaking the do-not-like-zachariah thing. although i am a big believer in personal meanings, so i think its wonderful if it has meaning for you guys.

if i used felix, i would probably pair it with nathaniel.

I really like Felix Grey. A lot. I'm not that huge a fan of Felix, but when it's paired with the right thing, it's good; I think that Grey is one of those right things. I love Grey. James Zachariah has a nice sound, flow and look to it as well.

I don't like either Claire or Isadora, sorry.
