[identity profile] omfg----hxc.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames

A girl I went to school with had a baby.

Kari Helene.

Not horrible. Not like the hugest fan of Kari but I like Helene. But it's pretty.

I don't like names that end in i instead of y and I prefer Helena to Helene or Helen.

kari almost looks like a nickname to me. i think karina helene would've been nicer. it's decent though. i especially like helene.

Kari is a male name in Finland so it seem a bit odd for me as a female name. But even if I wasn't used to it being a male name I still think I wouldn't like it on a female because it seems so hard. I like Karin much better. Kari also means and underwater rock in Finnish :>)

I love the name Kari, as a nn for Karina. I have quite an attachment to it. I prefer Helena to Helene, but it's still pretty. The name as whole works rather well.

Personally, I've always hated the name Kari. It's so... norwegian. English people use John and Jane Doe, Norwegians use Kari and Ola.

Helene is a nice name though :)
