Some Recent Names in the local Paper

Two recent names in our paper had me wondering... Seriously?


Maverick, birth announcement
and Paizley, she was in the paper for sports.

Maverick is a good nickname, but not so much a given name. Maaaaybe a middle name, like I've said before.

I have a friend with a daughter named Paisley. I like the name spelled with an s anyway.

Thanks to McCain/Palin, I am so tired of hearing the word Maverick that I could puke.

I actually love the name Paizley. I would probably never name my child that, but if I did it would be a middle name and spelled Paisley. I think Paizley could be cute for a dog or horse though.

I just did not like the spelling, I don't like the name personally, but it's not terrible. The "z" makes it terrible LOL

you did not miss anything, I just think it is better suited as a nickname or a middle name instead of a first name.

I agree about the Z. I don't know what I would think of the name if I did not know of this little girl. It seems to fit her perfectly.
