That's how it was spelled. I'm not sure if the person typo'd it or not. I've actually seen the name spelled that way a couple times before also. :(

I'm a lot more taken aback by the thought of Nikita on a girl. Ever heard of Krushchev? I realize there was that Elton John music video back in The Day (might've been a hard sell with a male actor) and that La Femme Nikita business, but I thought the name was still firmly a male, Russian one when in general use.

Nikita is a boy's name, so I don't know what's so bad about it on a boy. And judging by the patronymic, he seems actually Russian, so it totally works.

Over here (UK) Nikita is a girls name, never ever known it, or heard it on a boy. Learn a new thing every day ^_^
