"Unexpected" full names for Rosie?
Sep. 15th, 2008 12:55 amSo I've loved the nickname Rosie for awhile. But for whatever reason, I dislike the "obvious" full names for it, i.e. Rose, Rosemary, Roseanne, etc. I was wondering if you guys knew of any other full names you could potentially get Rosie out of that I might not have thought of yet? I was thinking something with "ros" in it, but not necessarily at the beginning (I think I've exhausted the names that start with "Ros-", but feel free to suggest if you think I might have missed one). Someone suggested Ambrosia with Rosie as a nn awhile back, and I thought it was exactly the kind of thing I might have missed. Alas, I do not like the name Ambrosia, but hopefully that gives someone some ideas. Something like that, if that helps. Or anything else that you think could work, really! Ignore all this if you have a better idea.
I had this problem with the nickname Georgie, too, and still haven't found something I like with it (exhausted things-that-start-with-"George" and am looking for something in the middle/end with a similar sound, like Virginia). And of course if anybody has any brilliant ideas for that one, they are also welcome.
Thanks, name gurus!
