Hi...I'm Brandy. I'm preggers with twins and me and the hubby have thought of some names.

2 boys: Vladimir and Alexavier
2 girls: Layla and Xyza
girl and boy: Vladimir and Xyza

We still have yet to think of middle names.

Hi Brandy,
I hope I don't hurt your feelings, since that's not my intention, but I have to say I am not very into Vladimir at all. It doesn't invoke the image of a beautiful baby boy or a playful young child. Unless you actually live in a country where this is a common name, it's just going to invite lots of teasing as he goes through school. It could very well be part of your heritage, but keeping up with family traditions shouldn't require sticking such a name on a baby. Kids are so cruel in school. On the other hand, Alexavier is very cool. It's interesting and not heard everyday but very pleasant. Layla is also very pretty. Xyza is also not one I recommend, it's quite a mouthful for a little girl to go to school and pronounce. Anyway, like I said, I am not trying to hurt your feelings, very sorry if I did! Good luck.

No feelings hurt. Well, I chose Vladimir because I am very into dark poetry, art, etc. Vladimir was A prince that was thought to be Dracula...that is why I chose the name (after Vlad Tepes). Xyza is a gothic name, not heard of and pronounced as Kzeyeza. Not very hard to pronounce.

i like the name Xyza, it's beautiful. Although i do prefer Alexavier to Vladimir, but that name is cool too.

i'm just curious- are you a twin? or is your husband or something? i'm just really into twins and i need to somehow have twins of my own someday so i was just wondering. thanks!

Nope. We don't know how we got blessed with twins. They don't run in either of our families. Well, maybe somewhere way back...but not that we know of.

I just named my cat Vladimir. I'm not sure how well it'd work when the child is older and worried about what his peers think.
