My cousin will be having a boy next month. Originally she and her boyfriend were going to name him Christian Anthony (since the father is Anthony Christian). However, I just found out that they've changed their minds and they now plan on calling him:

Gage Anthony.

WDYT?

I'm neutral on the name. I don't generally like just swapping the father's name to name the child, though.

I don't like Gage at all! I love Christian. They shouldn't have changed it!

I don't mind Anthony but strongly dislike both Gage and Christian. =/

It's not bad. Sounds like a word to me (gauge), which I'm not keen on, but it's almost like Gabe and not too shabby. Goes well with Anthony. I personally like it better than Christian.

I don't really understand the Gage/Sage and whatever else comes next trend.

I like Anthony, Christian not so much.

I'm rather neutral, although I do tend to think of 'gauge'.
I don't dislike it, but it isn't something I'd have on my list. Don't like Christian, so it's an improvement there, IMO

I like Anthony but Gage makes me think of "gag" and "gauge" so it leaves me puzzled. It also sounds more like a nickname to me.

Christian would be so much better, if it weren't for the religious reference.

But all in all, a new individual deserves a name to his own, just flipping around daddy's name is like being too lazy to pick something else.

I don't like Gage, but I know a little boy named Gage who is a holy terror....

Gage is not a good name in my opinion - it sounds like guage, or like it should be attached to a place name (e.g. Greengages).

Christian is a much nicer name.

I worked with a kid named Gage once. I called him Gadget. :)

Not my fav name though; it's a tool, not a name, IMO.

I actually like the name Gage, tho to me Gage Anthony sounds weird (But that could just be because i reallllllllllly don't like that name)

I love lovelove the name Gage.

I don't know that I like Gage Anthony together. I think I'd prefer Christian Gage. o_O

I like it. One of my students is named Gage. It kind of reminds me of Pet Cemetary, personally, but it's not that big of a connection.

I love it. Way better than flip flopping the grandfather's name. I think that's tacky.
