Wow, those names seem so...well, I wouldn't say mismatched...but they're certainly very different.

I don't like Jacqui & Tina, I love Mercedes and like Carmel, and I think Michaela & John Paul are ok.

I was watching and thought that it was a strange set of names
as in Jacqueline and Tina seem really different to Mercedes and Carmel

i know a jacqui. its actually Jacqueline but she goes by Jacqui (well, jacque...the only time she spells it with an i is when she's talking to me because she's making fun of me for misspelling her name)

i think they picked the names based on the characters..
jacqui seems like a more 'hard' or stern name to me, Mercedes sounds quite stuck up and Tina sounds quite soft sorta thing!
