Lately I've really been liking the nickname Lulu. It wouldn't be a formal nickname, just a silly one, like my father calls me Claire-Bear but its not something I would put on a test or a nametag or anything.

Which do you like better:

Laura Charlotte or Louisa Charlotte
both nicknamed Lulu

I definately prefer Louisa Charlotte.

Especially if you're planning on using the nn Lulu

You could also get Lulu out of Tallulah or Lucy/variations. =)

I don't like the name Louisa, but it flows better with Charlotte than Laura.

Seconded.

Lula can for sure be a nickname for Laura, but I just like the name Laura better than Louisa.

Since I like Louisa a lot more than Laura, I vote Louisa Charlotte.

I think Lucy is pretty classic. It could change in the next few years of course, but I think it'd have to reach Aiden-level popularity for that to really negate its history. And I don't see that happening, personally. It's on my list as a nn for Lucretia, even though I won't be having kids for several years either.

Laura and Louisa seem kind of dated, actually, IMO (Louisa with really old names and Laura with 70s/80s names).

I don't really like Louisa so I like Laura Charlotte better but I don't think either really flow with that middle name.

I prefer Laura Charlotte.
But Lulu makes way more sense for Louisa.

As a name, I like Louisa better, but I think Laura sounds better with Charlotte.

They are both pretty plain sounding to me.

A nickname like Lulu cold work with any name that has an 'L' sound in it..

I like Eloise.

I think it makes more sense with the name Louisa. But on its own I like Laura better.

I love lulu as a nn as well, but haven't found any full name i like to go with it. Though i do kind of like luna. [I also like i love izzy, emmy and evie as nicknames, but have one problem or another with most full names that you'd get those nicknames from.]
what was suggested to me was to have an L first name and a U middle name, but i can't think of any decent names that start with U right.

I cast my vote for Laura. I like it much better than Louisa.

But I agree that most names with an L sound can have Lulu for a nickname. I like Lucia and Violet.

And nickname potential is one of the main reasons I like Jillian so much. I want to call her many variations of Silly-Jilly, Jilly-bean, etc.
