I love it, but I think the association might be a little too strong. But if you have some kind of French background and/or live in a place where it wouldn't look too strange, go for it because I adore Les Mis. I also like Eponine and Fantine, especially Eponine. Or, hell, Azelma. ::points to user name::

Cosette sounds like "cosetta" in italian, which aside from being a typically southern name, also means "small thing".

So since I can't shake that out of my head, it sounds quite silly to me.

But on the bright side, I have no idea what Les Miz is :D

Hey Molly! :)

I do think Cosette is too Les Mis. I adore the musical like no other, but I don't so much like that name.

I love it SO much, but it may just be because of my giant crush on a girl called Cosette. I think it can work, having seen it in real life. She just embraces the Les Mis thing. She has a shirt with that famous picture of Cosette from the musical.

I agree with [livejournal.com profile] moshimoshi_13 in that it could work. I think it's lovely, and I for one didn't even remember that there was a character association, even though I thoroughly enjoyed Les Miz when I saw it years ago. I don't necessarily think most other people have such a strong memory of the character's name either.

So my verdict? It stands on its own just fine. You may get some people making the immediate connection, but I don't think it would be that big of a deal. Even if they do, that's not really a bad thing, is it?

I love it. But my love for that name is probably because of my love of the character.
But I think it'd be fine. I don't know a lot of people who even know what Les Mis is.

very les miz to me, but i still think it's pretty. it's hard for me to imagine a middle-aged woman with the name though.
