city/place names?

since I named my daughter after a city, I decided any future children I had would be named accordingly.

then I realized the only boy name I liked was "paris" and "ellis", but I'm not so much a fan of boy names that could be girl names.

I was going to name my 2 year old "harlow" (long before nicole richie okay) but her dad was all "hell no" about it.  so I think I'd use harlow lauren elizabeth as my next girl, but for a boy I wanted something unsual.  like bristol, to paint a picture.

I live in a town called bristol so i cant picture that as a name. I do like Harlow though, its very cute

I immediately think Bristol, England. When I hear 'Bristol' anywhere, so I can't really picture it as a name. The only place names I like are for girls, though, and they are all guilty pleasure to me:

Odessa
Ravenna

I also like London...I suppose that one could be unisex.

Ada (Minnesota), Savannah, Helena, Sydney, Payne (it sounds like a city name and it actually is, but it isn't the reason I like it), Morris (I don't love it, but would maybe use it as a middle name since I went to college in Morris, MN and I loved it there).

I also like Bristol a lot, and Austin too.

For a girl, I'm in love with Savannah (as a city name) and I don't mind Florence.

There's small town in Provence (France) that I like for a name, it's called Reillanne (prn just like Rayanne)

i think dalton, beckett, hudson and camden are nice as far as city/town names for boys.

dalton is the town i grew up in, so its odd for me, and becket is a nearby town, and i live too close to the hudson river to actually use that, but i can see if you dont have that connection, they could be nice. plus i love the nickname beck.

for the record, indiana, tennessee and alabama are all on my list. ;)
