What do you think of the name Tallulah? I've loved it since I was about 12 but I'd just be worried about her getting teased. Do you think that would happen?

Also, what are good middle names to go with Tallulah? I've been thinking either Tallulah Rose or Tallulah Belle...

I like it! I had a plain name (Jennifer) and still got teased, and it's not as if it's a WEIRD name, just not often used. Though Tallulah Belle is a bit much...

It's okay. A bit hipster, trendy in certain circles, but I like the sound and the legacy (Ms. Bankhead, I'm lookin' at you).

Oh, I hate the name Tallulah. It just sounds so Southern Belle to me, like the only person who could ever wear it well lived in Gone With The Wind, and the only thing I can ever think is Jodie Foster in Bugsy Malone, singing My Name is Tallulah.

Bruce Willis and Demi Moore have a daughter named Tallulah Belle. But she hated it so much she changed it (or she planned on changing it) to Lula. I tried to Google it, and see what middle names other people had to go with Tallulah, and literally, they're all either Rose or Belle. So personally, I would go with something different. I like Tallulah Grey.

In my husband's family tree, only a few branches up, is a Eullah Tallulah. I LOVE the name, but not from the perspective of ever using it for real. It will be our in utero name if we learn that this one is another girl. :)

Honestly? I think it sounds more like a pet name. But it's kind of cute in a quirky way.

I like the name, but I think it's a bit much for a first name. Maybe as a middle? If you are set on using it as a first name, I'd make sure that you had a really good nickname for her to go by before using it.

I like Tallulah Rose and Tallulah Belle, but Tallulah Belle is the name of Bruce Willis' daughter, so that's something to consider.

I really dislike Talullah. It's like the staple name everyone goes to when they want to be 'quirky' and 'original'. I think she would get teased, yes.

How did they make fun of Jennifer? What did they say? It's a pretty normal name. I got teased because my name is spelled differently.

Just various rhyming annoyances. And the whole Jenny thing, ugh. Then Forest Gump hit the scene while I was in middle school, that was awful. It doesn't sound like much now, but when you're a little kid, it's serious business. The point was even normal names gets teased. Not saying one should name their child shoebox and use that as a defense, but it will happen with all names.

I actually like it. Especially since Lulu could be a nickname, and I think that's adorable... I like Tallulah Belle - very pretty!

A friend of mine liked the combo Tallulah Skye, which has grown on me. It's nms as a name, but it's not BAD.

Boy, I was dead set against Tallulah. I do think it is a name that would get teased, and it just isn't my style... but, I like Tally and Tally Rose.

The name Tallulah reminds me of the fake baby Becky invents in Shopaholic and baby. She called her "daughter" Tallulah Phoebe heh:)

Tally could work as a nickname, but definitely not as a full name. Tallulah Rose nn Tally would be cute; not something I'd use myself, but it could definitely be a hell of a lot worse.

I like Lulu as a nn, or Lu a la Narnia. =)

The name is probably a little too unusual for me, but I think it's very cute. But Belle and Rose make it way too southern belle-ish for me.

Tallulah used to be my favorite name when I was younger. I still like it but there's on way I'd ever use it. I feel like the kid would definitely get teased and she'd probably hate the name itself.

Tallulah Belle is Demi Moore and Bruce Willis's daughter (one of them)!

I love the name Tallulah after the Sonata Arctica's song.
But they (and I) pronounce it TAH-loo-lah, I hate Tah-LOO-lah

Mn suggestions:

Tallulah Rebecca
Tallulah Michelle
Tallulah Amber
Tallulah Elizabeth
Tallulah Maria
Tallulah Amelia
Tallulah Erica
Tallulah Violet

One of my cats is named Tallulah. We always call her Tulah which is my favorite nickname. I really like the name but probably wouldn't use it as a first name myself. But if you really like the name I'd say go for it. If you would be calling your daughter by the full name then hopefully you have a short and simple last name to balance it out. Some middle names that might work -

Tallulah Beth
Tallulah Dawn
Tallulah Jane
Tallulah Justine
Tallulah Kristen
Tallulah Maureen
Tallulah Megan
Tallulah Quinn
Tallulah Sophie

I love how it looks written. Said out loud, it doesn't sound as nice, it sounds too little girl-y.

Tallulah screams trashy to me....

But if kids want to tease someone they will find a way! No matter what their name is.

My friend's kid is named Tallulah, so I am biased! I call her Tallulah-belle. ;) Her mom calls her Lula.

She was named Tallulah because of her Chippewa heritage; the name means something like "jumping water". Sorry to any Chippewa people out there for butchering your language.

I've always loved the name but as a guilty pleasure.... it's just not my style at all, but I do really like it haha

I like Tallulah Rose much better than Tallulah Belle, although I reckon there could be much better combos out there, I just can't think of them atm
