Pron. like Samantha, goes by Sam. I think Samantha is gorgeous but this spelling ruins it.

Lynda/Lynnda
I don't really like Linda, possibly because of the extraordinarily conservative and self-righteous aunt Linda I have. But these spellings look awful to me.

Icis
I prefer Isis.

Derrick
I saw it spelled this way and Derreck, and asked him about it, and he misunderstood me and thought I asked if it was supposed to be Dir-, and he told me, "If you look up [Derrick] in the dictionary, that's how it's spelled, D-e-r." I thought that was funny, since if there was a dictionary full of 'correct' spellings of names, Derrick would probably be Derek.

Garan
"Gare-an," I'd never heard it before.

Sibset: Kathleen and Karlee
Kathleen is nice but Karlee seems like it's just meant to match her sister's name. Carly is better but I still don't care for it.

That's a shame because Isis is a lovely name. Oh well. We should know by now that there cannot exist a nice name unless some stupid person has bastardized it.

Yeah. But she's like 90, so she was born way before it was cool to have 'unique' spellings. But she's a neat lady, anyway.

i dated a guy named derrick scott, but he went by scott. apparently when his grandma found out his name (hours after the birth certificate had been signed) she declared that derrick was stupid and would not be calling him that so she called him scott. guess it stuck with the rest of the family too.

Linda is one of my all-time favorite names, and the kr8tyve spellings look terrible!

I like Derek better than Derrick or Derreck.

Well, he's right. Derrick IS the dictionary spelling. But why the #(%* would you WANT to be named after that particular noun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derrick)? Like... an oil derrick? BLECH BLECH BLECH.
