I was watching Ghost Hunters the other night and saw some interesting names on this one episode.

Thaxter (male) - I found the name kinda funny sounding
Pi (female) - never seen this as a name

Pi as a name is pretty rad in theory, but living with it in actuality must suck.

I actually know a Pi! Changed her name from Katherine, to be MOAR YEWNEEQ. Insufferable young teen who enjoys putting people down, reading (how we encountered... she's the type who checks out books just so another person cannot) and acting superior.

I like the idea of Pi, but I think I'd only use it as a nn, for something like Pippa. I know of a TV character named Pi - it was a nn, but she went exclusively by it and no one knew her real name until half way through the series.

I don't like Thaxter though.

Ha! Checks out books just so other people can't? I don't even know what to call her. Control freak? Power-hungry? That's just weird.

I like Pi. It reminds me of the book Life of Pi (though I admit I didn't like that book, but I like the name).
