To me, Samuel Nathaniel and Nathaniel Samuel are out. They sound extremely repetitive like a tongue-twister. Perhaps you pronounce these names differently from how I do. But where I'm from, most people pronounce them like "SAM-yu-el" or "SAM-yel" and "na-THAN-yel" so they end almost exactly the same way.
Samuel Nathan and Nathan Samuel are both really nice.
I really don't like the name Nathan, but Samuel and Nathaniel sound weird together because they both end the same, so I would vote Samuel Nathan. Though on paper, I much prefer Samuel Nathaniel.
Definitely not Nathaniel -- I hate the rhyming. I like either Samuel Nathan or Nathan Samuel, but I think Nathan Samuel sounds best, even though I like Sam more than Nate.
I agree with everyone that Nathaniel and Samuel together is not good. Both Nathan Samuel and Samuel Nathan are awesome and so it would depend on the surname that follows in deciding which is best. If you really love the full name Nathaniel then how about Nathaniel Samson/Sampson or the other way round, Samson Nathaniel?
i pronounce them sam-yel and na-than-yel so its too rhyme-y (is that a word)
do u prefer sam or nate as a nickname because when he gets older his friends or ppl may call him that... taking that into consideration i like nathan samuel better
