Does anyone know any names similar to Alisha?

I'd love to name a future daughter something like this in memory of one of my best friends who died in a car accident three years ago, but I don't want to use her exact name.

Also, what do you think of using Ever as a name?

Aiysha? Or however you spell it. ah-ee-sha.

Ever has teasing potential, like, you don't score goals, EVER. Or something. I don't know. Ever could be a nickname for something though.

Alicia? I knew a girl in elementary school named Alicia and she pronounced it like Alisha, instead of ah-lee-she-ah.

I like Aliyah. Not sure if that's too different, though.

I was going to suggest Alicia as well. I've actually never known anyone with it spelled Alisha, but lots with the spelling Alicia.

alissa
alea/aliyah

ever is awful. it's a word, not a name.

Alyse/Elise.

Ever as a nn for Everett might work (boy).

Alice and Allison are really nice.

Shannon starts with the last three letters.

Alicia, Alice, Allison, Alexandra.

I think Ever could only work as a nickname for Everett.

Names that rhyme with Alisha? Or spelling-wise?

My best friend in elementary school's name was Alicia, and mine is Felicia so everyone was always mixing us up. Don't know how really...I have an F O.o

Alicia's been mentioned, I know, but I knew a girl with that name, only it was pronounced ah-LIS-see-a.

Ever was actually on my LONG LONG LONG list for girls. We're having a boy though, so it's moot, I think it sounds too much for a girl. Eve/Ever, blah. Still like it though. :)

Alyssa is quite similar to Alisha.

Ever = adverb, not name.
Milla Jovovich shouldn't be taken into account, she's czech or something :P

Helicia? It's Greek and means 'sunshine'.

I'm not very fond of Ever. It's too much of a word to use as a name, I think.

I do like how Ever sounds althogh I don't tend to like words as names because most people will react badly to it... in my own accent the r isn't pronounced at the end though. If I think of the word "ever" in an American accent, I don't like it as a name.

I have met an Eva from a scandinavian country who pronounced it like EVV-a. If you like the overall sound of Ever, you may also like Eva pronounced how she did, or Evan for a boy.
