Mar. 1st, 2006 12:21 pmHi everyone!
We're pretty set on the name Imogen (not to be confused with Imogene) for our daughter. I'm just curious on your opinion of this name and suggestions for middle names.
Thanks!

Date: 2006-03-01 10:02 am (UTC)I'd go for a really girly middle name:
Imogen Rose
Imogen Kasia
Imogen Olivia

Date: 2006-03-01 10:19 am (UTC)"Imogen Frais" (pronounced 'fray', in the French, meaning 'expenses.')
And that's just weird. I like Imogen, though! I really do. It feels very medieval, and I love it.

Date: 2006-03-01 12:50 pm (UTC)(Frances is the middle name of the oldest girl, including myself, going back 5 generations on my mum's side of the family.
If you like classic names, maybe Rose. Or something longer, Elizabeth.
There are numerous posibilities, and it's hard to know without knowing what kinda of names you like ;)

Imogen Lark
Imogen Summer
Imogen Ruby
Imogen Laurel (odd... that's four nature names in a row. I do think those work nicely for some reason)
As far as nns go, there's also Idgie, the character from the book/movie Fried Green Tomotoes. I think I remember her full name was Imogen. I prefer Immy myself.

Imogen Evelina **** I loved this one. I think it goes wonderfully with it.
Imogen Julianna
Imogen Freja (Fray-uh) It means Norse Goddess of Love. I thought Freja went very well with this name.
Imogen Laine - Laine is Scandinavian for Wave.
Imogen Amalia - I also love this name with Imogen.
Imogen Olivia - I know Olivia is rather popular, but it sounds and looks so nice with it. :)
Imogen Lucia - Another name I think goes beautifully with Imogen.
Imogen Liana - It means "My God has answered"
Imogen Athena - Another pick I really liked.
Imogen Brielle
I'm obviously not doing too much today. lol I hope you liked these.

Date: 2006-03-04 09:58 pm (UTC)With something like Imogen, you might want to use something traditional, like Elizabeth or Catherine or Jane. Or if your maiden name suits, use that!
