I may sound like a dork....but I've completely fallen for the name "Pixie" for a girl. I think its cute, sweet, and adorablllee!

When I was pregnant, before I knew I was having a boy...I had picked out Lilly Jade, and Chloe Lynn, now it seems those two names are popular. I'd rather have my child have a unique name. Like me, my name is Denielle and everyone calls me Deni for short, and when people call me I'm the only person that turns around. lol. you know what I mean? I don't want my kid to be one out of hundreds with the same name in her/his school

I have a son named Michael Scott....I know very unoriginal but I had Hayden picked out til it became cross-gendered and so popular and was having a really hard time finding any other boy names I liked that the father agree'd on, and he really wanted his son to be named after him...so meh. what can ya do?

Pixie would make a good pet name, but I wouldn't use it as an actual name.

Feels like a guilty pleasure name

since I think Pixie stands out more than you may ant it to IRL...I'd suggest using that meaning of the name and finding other names with the same or similar meaning. But I'd still call my baby Pixie and it'd be her forever nickname.

Lily Jade is on my short list. Lily and Chloe are both nice names, though you're right that they're pretty popular these days. For whatever reason, I've never liked the "Lilly" spelling.

Pixie is cute as a nickname, but I wouldn't use it as an actual name. My father has a friend by that name; as far as I know it's her full first name.

Pixie is cute-I've always liked Trixie, after the book series.

There are thousands of uncommon, pretty names out there. Pixie sounds like a name for a goldfish. It may seem cute on a baby, or a 4-year-old, but I pity the 15-year-old girl or 45-year-old woman named 'Pixie'...

What if "Pixie" grew up to be 6 feet tall and 250lbs? It's probably best as a nickname.

I love Chloe and Lilly (spelt that way; I don't really like the Lily spelling), and I plan on using Lilly someday.

A girl at my sister's school is named Deni. I thought it was really pretty, but I don't know if it's short for anything.

I also knew a girl who's sisters' names were Budgie and Pixie - again don't know if they were nicknames or not, but I really didn't like them. Pixie's one of those names where you 'expect' something. Like, my friend's cousin is named Angel and she was a total brat.

Perhaps keep it as a nickname, because it is cute.

I guess you never heard of Pixie Geldof, daughter of Paula who died of a smack overdose. Sisters called Peaches and Fifi.

So so classy.

Pixie is horrendous. Lilly and Chloe are both popular, yes, but your child is unlikely to actively despise those names. She may dislike them, but I think your daughter is much much much more likely to hate Pixie. Also, it's one of those names that she's going to constantly have to explain, "No, my name really is Pixie. Yes, my parents picked it out. No, I didn't CHOOSE to be called that."

That said, one of my best friends loves the name Pixie. I talked her into Ruby instead, haha. She also likes Gore for a boy; I'm still talking her out of that one, but at least it's not as bad as Pixie.

I think that Pixie would work well, for about a week until everybody remembered that the kid won't remain a baby forever, and eventually will have a life, and age. Then, it'll lose all of it's appeal. Cute, sweet and adorable aren't really going to age well.

I'm not really fond of the name Pixie for a first name, but I think it's a cute nickname :)

I just wanted to comment because a friend of mine has almost the same name as yours (well, her real first name is Terri, but she goes by her middle name, Deneille) and we call her Denie (rhyming with teeny).
