don't like dharma. the association with dharma and greg is too strong and i just don't like the sound.

i know a few rachaels. i'm not sure which spelling i prefer, but i lean toward rachel because unlike rachael, rachel doesn't have a squiggly line under it to suggest that i misspelled it.

I like Rachael better than Rachel. Either one is acceptable in my opinion, but I've never seen another spelling.

I don't like Dharma. It reminds me of Dharma & Greg, and while I loved that TV show, (1) Jenna Elfman is crazy, (2) the name is way way way too out there, and (3) it's a religious principle that basically means law or order -- how boring of a meaning is that? Plus, it just seems like one of those names hippies/New Agers give their kids to make them seem different and wise in an Eastern sort of way.

I like Dharma, but it reminds me of the 90s show.

Rachael is the other accepted spelling.

The only way I like Rachael spelt is Rachael. It looks incomplete as Rachel to me. I guess that is because I have a friend called Rachael.

Rachel is a Hebrew name (as far as i can tell) and translated is spelled without the second a. That came along when someone was trying to be creative, no doubt. Can you tell that my name is Rachel? HA. I used to hate my name, but couldn't come up with another. So i changed the spelling. Brace yourselves.
Raychelle.
Yeah. So glad i didn't go down to the Social Security office with that one. My friend's aunt spelled her name Rachelle. I have also seen Reichele. Maybe also Raighchelle? I dunno.

I think Rachael was the original spelling, as translated from the Hebrew, but Rachel seems to be more common. I actually love the name, I think it is elegant and understated, and I think I like the former spelling best.

I've seem some kr8ytve/bastardized forms like Raechelle, Raychell, Rayechele, etc. but those just seem dumb to me. Oh, and I knew a "Roechellee" pronounced exactly like Rachael. I can't even type that without shuddering!

Dharma I just don't like at all.

My sister's name is Rachael. My mother said she picked that spelling over Rachel because it looked incomplete without the second A.

I don't like Dharma.

dharma - sanskrit, signifies the underlying order of nature, and life lived in accord with that order. i like concept but don't like it as a random name.

rachael looks nicer to me than rachel.

I love Dharma, but then again I am a weirdo hippie tarot reader. And I also like Rachel/Rachael.

Dharma - not so much. I might grow to like it, but I wouldn't use it.

I've seen, in addition to Rachel, Rachelle, Rachael, and Raychel.

I love the name Rachel spelled just like that. For some reason I also like the spelling of Raychel. That's just me though, haha.

I feel that "Rachael" is the only acceptable spelling.

I'm also a Tarot card reading, neo-hippie, but I have to say I hate Dharma. There are some other hippie-ish names I do like, like Kachina, Sage, and Tempest.

Rachael Ray! That and Rachel are the only spellings that I've ever seen; I like Rachael better.

And Dharma and Greg! Plus, I just don't like the name.

Dharma = thumbs down.

Rachel used to be my favorite, favorite name when I was little. I still like it. I've seen it spelled Rachael and consider that legit, but really really really prefer the traditional spelling of Rachel.

I have a friend who spells her Raychl.

My sister is also a Rachel. She cringes whenever people feel like adding the extra "a".

Rachel is the only acceptable one imo.
