A girl I know just had a baby girl a couple of days ago (she's seventeen). The baby's name?

Char-lee Rose.

I guess that's pronounced like Charlie, or maybe Sharlee? I'm assuming the first, though. Meh. I like Charlie as a nn, but not for a full name, and was the hyphen really necessary?

Oh, and her eighteen year old sister (turning nineteen this year) is pregnant, as well. She's due to have a boy and as far as I know, she's planning on naming him Jaxon. Bleh. I like Jackson, but..

EDIT: Char-lee has an older half-brother (same Dad, or at least I'm pretty sure they're half sister and brother) named Shaden. Bleh.

Okay, Charlie isn't horrible.. but a lot of hyphenated names get shortened. So.. this baby's names is Char?? I'm gonna name mine Coal.

The hyphen is out but Charlie on a girl is doable...it has the feminine ending like Stacey, Stephenie (yuck) etc etc.
