I LOVE it as a nickname, but not by itself. It's way too childish sounding to go on a resume or business card. I'd go with either Anne/Ann or something longer like Annelise or Annabelle and shorten it to Annie.
I like it as a nickname for the name Annaliese or Anniston. Not a big fan of Anne or Ann itself though both are family names I would like to allude to with those two names above.
I agree with this. I think Annie is a terrible choice as a full first name, because it just sounds like a nickname; it also sounds very much like a name from Little House on the Prairie or the old West, a la Annie Oakley, which is another reason I'm not a fan.
However, I do like the names Anne/Ann, An, and Ani.
i have to say that i like it better as a nickname. i think that anne is a lovely, refined name that is great for an annie to fall back on if she needs a more professional name for her business cards or something.
I love it, but I think it is better with a full name for her to fall back on if she wants. I know an Anne who still goes by Annie as an adult, but I still think that it's good that she has the name Anne if she ever decides that Annie is too young or whatever.
I like it as a nickname for Anika, but there are tons of names it could be a nickname for. I love many of them. Unfortunately, Annie makes a word with our last names... otherwise i would use it for my firstborn daughter I love it that much. I am hoping to get away with Anna because it sounds less like a word, but we'll see....
I like Annie a lot, but for me, it's too informal to be a given name. I wouldn't hate it on someone else's child though.
And I prefer Ani, for whatever reason. Maybe because a friend of mine spelled her name like that, but I think it cuts to the chase quicker than Annie and all those letters.
I don't like it. I don't like Anne or Ann either. I do think that people should be named what the parents plan on calling them, so I see nothing wrong with Annie by itself, but I don't like the sound of it and it's just not my style.

I also like Annie as a nickname for Andrea, but not as much as I like it by itself.
